Lessons learned, from game that got out of hand

A very interesting story from Tom Sorensen of the Charlotte Observer after a game last Friday night down in his neck of the woods and former Carolina Panther Mike Minter was right in the middle of it, along with long-time high school football coach Bruce Hardin.

Sometimes reactions, not actions, define us

Remove a whistle from a coach’s mouth and a cliché comes out.

It’s funny how often those clichés turn out to be true.

Here’s one.

“You can’t control what happens to you,” says Mike Minter, the football coach at Concord First Assembly. “You can control your reaction.”
