Southeast Guilford’s JV continued to roll. They beat the Golden Eagles 22-6. They continue to play stellar defense and the rushing attack is unstoppable. There is plenty of talent on this team, so the future looks bright for Coach Fritz and company.
Last night’s Grimsley@ Western Guilford game was quite an entertaining football game. Both teams had some terrific offensive moments but the defenses were just plain ol good football. Although the young Whirlies have yet to win a game,this one showed that they are jelling and about to turn that corner. It was indeed a testament of a will to win from both sides. These other jv teams that run up scores to demoralize an opponent doesn’t show the true beauty of the game of football in my eyesight.Congratulations to both teams on a well played and thoroughly entertaining thursday evening. Hang in there little”whirlwinds”, your day is coming and soon,don’t ever give up!
