The Guilford College Quakers(0-4) host NAIA Southern Virginia University(0-5) in a rare Friday night game at 7:00 p.m. this evening in the Armfield Athletic Center, on the Herb Appenzeller Field.(Turf field and a very nice at that.)

No Saturday action for Southern Virginia. They are Morman-affiliated(Latter Day Saints/LDS) college and during this week each year and then again in the early spring, there is a Sun-up to Sundown rule where SVU can not play any sport on that day and that day would be tomorrow.(October 3)*****I think this is also called the midnight to midnight rule in most Mormon circles from Utah and beyond.*****

To further document our findings:OCT 2 FRI BYU VS. Utah State PROVO, Utah 7:00 PM

It appears that the University of Virginia(0-3) has also chosen not to play football on Saturdays this year as well……

Good luck to the Quakers tonight. This is their winable game and they need to go get
it!
