  2. Page RB Drew Rogers had 20 carries for 232 yards, 4 TDs and FB Lenny Gordon 11 carries for 93 yards, 3 TDs.

Page had close to 400 yards rushing and close to 500 yards of total offense.
    S. Alamance had 299 yards of total offense.

Page scored on 7 of their 9 possessions, and didn’t punt in the game.

Big game next week against Dudley (8-1)..

  3. Congratulations to Grimsley. Just anither example of what happens when you count your chickens prematurely ( especially in HS sports ). As a friend of mine once said, “Never underestimate your opponent”.

  4. 1) Ragsdale
    2) Dudley
    3) Northern
    4) Page

    13) Grimsley
    14) Southeast Guilford
    15) Eastern Guilford

New bottom 3…Northern seems to be a better team than Page on the defensive side of the ball. I’m not saying there’s a whole lot of difference here, but enough to give them the edge in my opinion.

  5. any team w/ KA on defense has an edge. Page secondary a little pourous last night but they have improved from earlier in the year. The key to stopn a good passing game is to get pressure on the QB.

Page/Dudley next Friday. Any predictions Andy?

  6. Dudley will beat page by 12. I’m sure that Page has improved since I saw them play Ragsdale, but I’m thinking that Dudley has improved also. Andy, you have to be planning on being at this game on Friday night.

  7. Have you ever seen anything like the scores Northern Guilford puts up. They must be averaging 50 points per game. I know their competition is not that stiff but 50 points per game in high school is unbelievable. Keenan Allen is a terror on the football field, but they also have other great players as well but get ost in the shadows of Keenan. They should go deep in the playoffs if they stay healthy. They deserve all the success they can get after the rip off the Guilford County Schools put on them last year. Northern will get the last laugh.

  8. 50 points per game is not unbelievable.. or rare. I see scores around the state every week like the ones that Northern Guilford are putting up, to be perfectly honest.

Also, Northern Guilford isn’t averaging 50 points per game..

    1. Monroe – 8 – 425 – 53.13
    2. Mount Airy – 8 – 395 – 49.38
    3. Butler – 7 – 340 – 48.57
    4. Reidsville – 8 – 385 – 48.13
    5. Creswell – 6 – 275 – 45.83
    6. Hertford County – 9 – 405 – 45.00
    7. Britt, Jack – 8 – 356 – 44.50
    8. Manteo – 8 – 342 – 42.75
    9. Hibriten – 8 – 338 – 42.25
    10. Mountain Heritage – 8 – 337 – 42.13
    11. SouthWest Edgecombe – 9 – 378 – 42.00
    12. East Duplin – 8 – 334 – 41.75

    14. Page – 8 – 329 – 41.13

    16. Eastern Alamance – 8 – 321 – 40.13
    17. Bishop McGuinness – 8 – 313 – 39.13
    18. Brown, AL – 8 – 312 – 39.00
    19. Richmond Senior – 8 – 311 – 38.88

    23. East Wilkes – 9 – 347 – 38.56
    24. Asheville – 7 – 269 – 38.43
    25. Harnett Central – 8 – 306 – 38.25
    26. Northern Guilford – 8 – 306 – 38.25

Page is averaging more the Northern.

  9. Mr Barlie,

Just updating as both schools have 9 games in.

Northern has scored 369 points for avg of 41 per/g
Page has scored 378 points for avg of42 per/g

  10. Why is it no matter the topic, the conversation always turns to Northern.
I personally get sick of hearing about them.

  11. It’s all those Northern fans who think that they were cheated last year. As it stands today, Northern has not accomplished anything. Maybe when they develop a strong feeder system and not just have stars from other schools enroll at their school they may find TRUE success. Until then they will always be questioned.

  12. Glad to see you posting, son.
That was smart to question Joe Barile’s numbers. No credibility for sure. But you need to give him a pass as Andy suggested, since his dad is a veteran. probably won the Medal of Honor!

  13. 8-1 in their third season is accomplishing nothing? Have you seen them play? The middle school and the JV team have also been very successful. The future is bright for Northern football.

  14. Tom,

Good point….The young Hawks are very talented. It’s good to see everyone post on here and state how passionate they are about their team. This is a great sounding board and I think us Northern fans must be patient. The future also looks promising but alot of good things must happen for many years in order to be in a class with some of the other schools mentioned on here frequently. Tradition takes time so “time will tell”.

  15. 8-1 is a good record, accomplished with some good area players. I hope that they will be able to compete at a high level for a long time. One day they may join the ranks of Page, Dudley, Ragsdale, etc. . .

  16. Gotta understand the Page group is always searching for an identity and some attention. My question is how do you let a 1-7-1 Southern Alamance team score 28 on you? Page is a really good team, but to give up 28 to Southern Alamance?
