Caldwell Academy Soccer Headed to NCISAA Final Four For the Second Straight Year

plus this just in: High Point Christian, the 7th seed, took down # 2 Fayetteville Academy last night 2-1 to reach the Final Four for the 3rd straight year.

The Caldwell Academy varsity soccer team has advanced to the final four of the NCISAA state playoffs for the second straight season. The #4 seeded Eagles (16-5-2) will face the #1 seed St. Davids (20-1-1) on Friday at 4pm at Westchester Country Day School.

The Eagles advanced in the NCISAA playoffs by downing #13 seed Northside Christian 3-1 last Friday and #5 seed Cary Christian on Tuesday. On Tuesday, freshman Christian Guthrie scored with 1.2 seconds left in the first 5 minute sudden victory overtime period to give Caldwell the win.
