Hulk Hogan returns to Wrestling, now with TNA

Sorry we didn’t have this up here for you yesterday, but we usually check in on the wrestling news in the morning and if it happens in the afternoon we might just miss it.

Here’s the Big News on the return to the ring by Hulk Hogan, with Total Non-Stop Action wrestling and one has to wonder, that as old as “The Hulkster” is now, and with all his physical limitations, will it really be “Total Non-stop Action” when he crawls back into the ring??????

Here’s all the news on this possible “Story of-the-Year”, from Jason Powell at www.prowrestling.net:

The TNA website features a story on the signing of Hulk Hogan. “Hulkamania” is back,” reads the story. “The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, is joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA), the fastest rising wrestling organization in the world and home to one of cable television’s highest rated shows for young men, TNA Impact! The announcement was made Tuesday by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City.”

Hogan also commented on the story. “I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling,” Hogan said. “My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to work with Dixie (Carter) to help make that a reality.” To read the full story, visit TNAwrestling.com.

Jason Powell’s POV: This is the one of the biggest news stories of the year and it will be very interesting to see what the fallout is in terms of the creative structure. Eric Bischoff is joining Hogan in some capacity, and we all know that the two are not big fans of creative team leader Vince Russo.

  1. This has trainwreck written all over it. My guess is he bolts after four weeks like Savage did when they wouldn’t give him the title. Hogan will do the same.
