Guilford men’s soccer closes regular season with victory

EMORY, Va. – Guilford’s men’s soccer team closed the regular season with a 3-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory at Emory & Henry College Wednesday night. The victory snapped an eight-match losing skid and clinched a berth in the upcoming ODAC Tournament.

Guilford (8-11-1, 3-7 ODAC) scored for the first time in six games for its clinching win. Freddy Gomez tallied his team-leading 11th goal of the year. Jordan Alexander and Tamer El-Amoor also scored for the Quakers.

Guilford opens ODAC Tournament play as the number-eight seed and plays Saturday (10/31) at top-seeded Virginia Wesleyan College.
