  1. The Page/Dudley game was an exciting one from the kick off to the final buzzer. Dudley’s offense had us worried with two punt returns that turned into touchdowns but PAGE was able to hold them off for the win. Page= 28 Dudley=20.

Congratulations Page JV. Now for the varsity tomorrow night…….

  2. That game must have been moving quick. I got over there about 9:15 or 9:20 and the lights were out and looked like everyone was gone.

Congrats to the Pirates. Friday night ought to be something.

  3. Page JV had all cylinders on go with both offense and defense. The offense was steady and converted several 4th downs into first downs. QB passing was spot on with an impressive amount of completed passes to several receivers. The defense held Dudley to very few first down conversions and #52 helped put the game away with under 2 minutes left, by stopping them on 4th down. Overall a very exciting game. These boys earned their win tonight!

  4. @ Andy–

Yes, they cleared the stadium pretty quick. On another note–I anticipated a lot of support and got there early but there was no need. Page’s spectators were “somewhat” in attendance but it looked like Dudley had all of 20 people there and that was including the cheerleaders. I know everyone’s anticipating tomorrows varsity game but it would’ve been nice if more people showed support for the JV team(s). Remember–they are the schools’ football future!

  5. Page was dominate on defense but let down on kick coverage. This game was not as close as the score would indicate. Dudley scored an two kick returns and a halfback pass.

Not taking anything away from the Panthers because it takes all three aspects, offense, defense and special teams.

The Page Pirate receivers did a great job tonight, making some clutch catches to keep drives alive.

And the offense as did a great job running the ball.

One more win and the JV Pirates will be 10-0.

The future is bright a Page.
    Great job Pirates.

  6. Great job Northern JV! Lots of numbers out there tearing it up! #5, #10, #44, #20, #30 and the list goes on! Lookin’ good! Does anyone know who is leading the conference for JV???

  7. Northwest finishes off an undefeated season with a hard fought 35-34 victory over east forsyth….

they were down 28-14 at the half, with one of their touchdowns comming from a fumble recovery…

coaches must have made some great adjustments at halftime becasue the offense couldnt be stoped in the 2nd and the defense shut them down… east forsyth scored with about 20 seconds to play, but the northwest D stoned the 2 point conversion…

looked like there were a lot of starters out for Northwest (injuries? call ups? i dont know?) so it was really a team victory… congradulations to the northwest JV’S!! 10-0

  8. Agree with all the comments. The amount of completed passes was very impressive for this team. It seems like the QB and the receivers are in synch and have a lot of flexibility. The running game was also good. I was very impressed with both the excellent passing and running ability. Defense as always – tough!

  9. Just heard them sending congrats to the Page Pirates on 97.1 WQMG. The word on JV Football is starting to spread around town…….

  10. @ Andy–

I heard them congratulate Page’s win and gave shout outs to DeAnthony Brooks and Devante Hooker.

  11. NW JV team comes back after halftime down 28-14 to win 35-34!

What a game to watch! This team never gave up! They came out after halftme and shut E.Forsyth down. Great job coaches on the halftime adjustments! Congrats to all the Players and Coaches @ NWG!

By the way I saw both NWG JV starting RB’s on the sideline. A person in the crowd said one was injured in last weeks game @ Parkland and they called the other up to the Varsity team this week. That just shows how deep this JV team is. Way to go guys on a total team victory!

Enjoy the win! Good luck next year!

  12. What a game!!!! 35-34 NWG JV!!!!!! NWG JV team 10-0 on the season. Congrats to all the coaches and players on a perfect season!

I heard NW JV have only lost 2 games in 3 years. Thats pretty awesome!

  13. 35-13 sets up a good game next week with Page. SEG’s only conference loss was to Dudley. I trust that the Falcons will be ready for the Pirates.

  14. NW JVs were 9-1 last year, 5-4 the year before that and I think 4-4-1 the year before that.
That is as far back as I go.
Yes you are correct the starting HB and WB were out last night. #22 played his tail off last night! Great job Vikings!

  15. great game last night SE JV. Yall played a great game last night considering there were 5 or more starters missing due to injuries and illnesses.

  16. all the love going out to the Rbs on NWG, what about the O-LINE? If you ask me, the injuries at Rb showcase the O-Line being the the strength of this JV team to go 10-0 and 9-1 the year before! The days of NWG being the mop of Greensboro are long over!

  17. Congrats to NW for picking up one on the conference JV titles. Now lets see who will get the second one this week. Three team vying for the title perhaps — Dudley (lost to Page); SE (lost to Dudley). If Page (9-0) so far is beaten by SE -will it be a three way tie? Also what is the difference in the two conferences?
