  3. Last time I check, Northern beat Eastern Alamance. How come Eastern Alamance is ranked above Northern in the top 10?

  4. The problem with the AP poll is that it is just a vote by voters many of whom have not seen teams play, or done any research. The Northern Guilford issue CJones brought up and the fact Ragsdale dropped after bye week are perfect examples. Voters didn’t see a Ragsdale score for last week so decided not to vote for them.

Pasteur’s rankings are much more well thought out and researched. Check out his website…a lot of time and effort goes in to evaluating teams in his ranking. AP…not so much time or effort.

  5. Yankee makes a good point but the rankings don’t matter. The Ragsdale kids don’t even know where they are ranked, don’t know they fell 1 spot, don’t know who is 4AA or 4A. They don’t care. They are focused on this week. There is only 1 ranking that matters.

  6. oh yeah – I understand kirk. I just think it’s funny the way these polls work. Wondering what went through voters minds to decide that Ragsdale had somehow fallen off since the last shut out victory.

oh well – glad the bye week is over and hopefully can look forward to seven more weeks of football.
