Jeff is a freshman in the Beyond Academics program(www.beyondacademics.org) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

UNCG’s men’s basketball home opener at the Greensboro Coliseum will be Friday, November 20 against ACC foe, Clemson. For tickets, call the UNCG Ticket Office at 334-3250.

Jeff – How many years have you worked in the ticket office at UNCG?
John – 8 years.

Jeff – What’s your favorite part of your job?
John – Working at the actual sporting events and interacting with the student athletes and participants.

Jeff – Where are you from?
John – Greensboro. I went to undergrad at UNC-Chapel Hill and the grad program at Tennessee in Business Administration. I also worked in the banking business for several years between undergrad and grad school.

Jeff – What are your hobbies?
John – Reading, cooking, camping and hanging out with friends.

Jeff – How did you first get involved with UNCG athletics?
John – I grew up in Greensboro and after college, got a job in the UNCG Ticket Office. I wanted more 1 on 1 interactions with people and was interested in the business aspect of the job. Because of my banking background, I had the experience to handle the financial aspects of the job.

Jeff – How can people, especially UNCG students, get more involved with the school’s athletic program?
John – By attending sporting events and cheering on the UNCG teams and student athletes. UNCG students can also do volunteer work with the school’s teams.
