Juniors are jumpin’ and new list has Class of 2011 covered

Stan Olson from the Charlotte Observer turned out his Top 20 Juniors list last week and there were at least two Guilford County kids on the list with Eric Ebron from Smith at #7 and Maurice Harris of Northern Guilford #17 on the list of Top HS football players in the Class of 2011.

Stan’s list also included Stephone Anthony from Anson County at #3 and he lived up to his billing in his team’s win over Northern Guilford last Friday night…..

Here’s the second round of 20 juniors on Stan Olson’s list and we find Airwyn Willis of Southwest Guilford among the names on the new list.

Maybe we should be seeing James Summers and Drew Rogers of Page on this list and maybe Luke Heavner and D’onovan Smith of Ragsdale or maybe Drew Adams and Derek Grant from High Point Central….

But again, here is the list from the Junior class of 2011:

Mocksville Davie LB Jared Barber,
Ardrey Kell RB/DB Justus Pickett,
Butler DB Mark Bridges,
Fayetteville Sanford LB Nick Broussard,
Fayetteville Sanford RB Anthony Clanton,
Carson WR Cody Clanton,
Independence RB Nyjee Fleming,
Butler WR/LB Kris Frost, Hopewell RB Dondre’ Lewis-Freeman,
Asheville WR/DE Jeoffrey Pagan,
Fayetteville Sanford WR Dante McDonald,
West Iredell CB Dominique Noble,
Salisbury S Darien Rankin,
Kannapolis Brown RB Travis Riley,
Country Day QB Morgan Roberts,
Country Day RB Jalen Ross,
West Charlotte RB Scoot Simmons,
Fayetteville 71st RB/DB Maurice Scruggs,
Athens Drive QB Ben Snotherly
Southwest Guilford RB Airwyn Willis

*****Fayetteville Terry Sanford must be one heck of a team to have three on this list…..*****

    Thanks–

    Good Luck, Drew!!!!

  2. Good point Brian and there we go getting ahead of oursleves again.

Hard to believe, but those two will be around for two more years….They are really are prime prospects……

Maybe we need to put them in the Class of 2011 and a-half…..

  3. Have you been in a coma this football season??

    Lol!!!!! I’m just joking.

Drew is a sophomore who plays for Page. Now, if you ask me who’s Page…..?

  4. Fan,

Drew Rogers is #28 who plays for Page. He is a sophomore running back who had close to 1,400 yards rushing / 9 ypc with 18 touchdowns.

All of this was with splitting time with Thuc Phan (over 900 yards rushing), Lenny Gordon (over 600 yards rushing), and Kahyri Harvey (over 300 yards rushing).

I’m assuming you are just being funny, but if you don’t really know who he is right now, then you will know about him in the next two years for sure. He is going to be a major recruit in this area, so keep posted. That is if you care to know who he is.
