  1. I just looked for it over on the Dudley web site at Dudleybasketball.com and it’s not there yet. Also checked at digtriad.com and at news-record.com and no hs scores at either site….

We’ll keep looking and hopefully someone will come over here with that score and more scores….

  2. Just checked the High Point Enterprise on-line at hpe.com and nothing on that game or any other game for that matter…..They did have a story on Max Meeks retiring from WMFR 1230AM on Jan. 1, 2010…..

We need to hear from all of our Vivian Stringers out there with those scores!

  3. No wonder GDS always wins little 4, they will play 14 games before little 4. they will be way more polished than the other teams. my team is just getting footbaall players back. i think all teams in little 4 should have to play under same rules.

  4. The score from the Dudley site was Panthers 74, Reagan 63 with PJ for 35 points…

Maybe they should make Greensboro Day School bring back football and they wouldn’t have the chance to start basketball so early….Probably not going to work, but they could extend soccer season through the Thanksgiving Holidays….

    You never, never know……

  5. Eastern beat Southwest in the boys game 72-68 at Southwest. The Eastern girls also won by about 6.

  6. no wonder – you said GDS wins the little 4 each year because they start their season earlier than the public schools. i would suggest to you that is a crazy statement. GDS and ORMA had only practiced and played for about 2 weeks when they played in Charlotte but I did not hear either of them make excuses. Northern has not used any excuses from what I have read even though they have several kids from football that could make them better. maybe your school should adopt a similar program to what Dudley has put into place. the Dudley program encourages kids to choose either football or basketball. clearly there are some kids from the football that can help the basketball team at Dudley but there is no one from the football team that will make or break their season. there are no kids at GDS that play soccer or potential football that would make a difference. the Northern team is the only that will get better with the football teams season ending.

the bottomline is that if you need football to end in order for your team to win, then your season is already over. GDS wins year after year not because of superior individual players or because they have been playing since early November. they are winning this tournament and others because they have superior coaching, a superior program and a schedule that test their abilities outside of the conference. Dudley is the only other program in town that can match the GDS overall basketball program. GDS and Dudley have dominated the little 4 (pizza hut) for decades and they will continue to do such because their programs are superior, the school culture demands excellences and the community expects the same.

i miss Dudley being in the tournament because GDS has not peer without them. this city has 2 kings of basketball – GDS and Dudley.
