Southeast Guilford gets split with Asheboro as Falcon girls win, but Hilliard hits for 32 as Blue Comets claim victory in OT

The Asheboro Blue Comet boys topped Southeast Guilford 83-80 in overtime, but in the opener, the SEG Falcon girls ran past Asheboro 40-25…..

In the boy’s battle, Asheboro went 29-of-46 from the free throw line, including 8-of-10 in overtime, to stay undefeated.

For the Asheboro Blue Comet boys, Saegan Hilliard had 32 points, 9 assists and 6 steals. He scored 11 of AHS last 12 points of the game. Southeast played a box and one the entire game on Hilliard with 3 different SEG players fouling out on him alone.
