Saturday evening hoops at Eastern Guilford High School

There are now games going on 6 days a week and it is a lot like a rabbit hunt or a fox hunt, if there is one, then it is on and chances are that we will be there….

Not gonna miss many chances to check out the local hoops and we need to get those scores up here from the split at EG. Last time there was a split when the two teams(EG and NEG) met at Northeast and tonight it was the same story although the roles were reversed.

The NEG girls won at Northeast on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and tonight it was EG putting together back-to-back victories as they topped NEG, following up last night’s 59-41 win over Northern at EG…

Tonight Eastern girls take it with these totals….
Halftime:
EG 43
NEG 24

FINAL:
EG 71
NEG 52

In the boy’s game last time at NEG it was Eastern with the win, but tonight NEG went up early, and I don’t believe the Rams ever trailed in this contest….Adam Gunn was on fire from three-point land for EG, but that was about it…Brandon Hairston didn’t control this game the way he did at NEG back on that Saturday just before Thanksgiving…

The numbers on the boys game were…..
Halftime:
NEG 28
EG 18

The lights went out with NEG up 56-37 and with this happened with 3:27 left in the game and after the lights cooled off and then got warm again, NEG wins it…

FINAL:
NEG 62
EG 48
….

Back-to-back wins for NEG after last night’s win over SWG and back-to-back losses for the EG Wildcats, who now fall to (4-2) after last night’s loss to Northern Guilford and the Nighthawks are the County’s only unbeaten(5-00 team after Greensboro Day(12-1) fell to Ravenscroft last night, 57-54…….
