Girls FINAL:
Southeast Guilford 50
Southwest Guilford 47….(OT)

*****Regulation it was 42-42 as the Cowgirls came back to tie the game and send it into overtime….Fine effort by both teams with SWG and their comeback and SEG to be up and then to regain the momentum in OT and persevere to win the game….*****
+++++Notes on girls for SEG it was Julissa Anderson, Ayshia McNeil, Destiny Locklear all stepping up in OT and they had plenty of help from Sarah Uffman and Brittany Price….For SWG their leadership came from Zena Lovette and comeback support came in strong from Shannon Buchanan…..+++++

The boys game is currently under way and SWG is up on SEG 17-12 in the second quarter….After one quarter of play it was SWG 16, SEG 8, but SEG has battled back to cut the lead to 4 at 16-12, but Southwest is set to make a run and the Cowboys have pulled back in front 19-13 with 4:30 left in the first half….

With 1:40 remainiing it is now SWG 26, SEG 16…..

Halftime: BOYS
SWG 27
SEG 16

3rd Q….Braxton Daye just had a big right-side dunk for SWG and the Cowboys are up 35-21 with 3:24 to go in the 3rd quarter…Greg Bridges playing strong for SWG with Daye and Tevin Johnson, Danny Pressley and Malik Wright working to keep SEG in this one….

Three-pointer by SWG’s Braxton Daye to close the 3rd Q and the Cowboys are on top after three stanzas, SWG 48, SEG 35…..

5:09 to play with SWG in front over SEG, 51-38………With 2:30 remaining it is SWG 56, SEG 47…..

FINAL:
SWG 61
SEG 53
….
*****Expectng big things in the future from Artez and Andre McRae and the sophomore guard from SEG Tevin Johnson….SWG has many fine athletes on their squad with Greg Bridges and Braxton Daye and crew….*****
