What ever happeded to?????

What Happened to them?‏

What happened to all the SE Guilford kids from the past few years?

I haven’t heard anything about them. Are they still playing ball? Are they still doing well or in school?

Names that stick out to me at the moment are Justin Venable, Dustin Lineback, Dion Bratcher, Tyrell Anderson, Alex Harrison, Tivon Clark, James Pegues, and Terrence Topps.

Here’s what I have from Greensborosports.com:

Justin Venable:East Carolina University…DB…Red-shirt freshman…Has played in most games this year as backup and on special teams and should make the travel team for the Liberty Bowl….

Dustin Lineback:Was at Brevard College for one year and then walked on at East Carolina and in his second year there. Started one game at linebacker this season, has had some big plays with a key interception at mid-season and I think that was against Tulsa….Now out for the season with a knee injury….Season complete…….

James Pegues:Winston-Salem State University…Freshman linebacker this past season who saw playing time and a few quarterback sacks to his credit…Big kid now at around 6’3 245….

Tivon Clark:Wingate University:Tivon is a Bulldog at Wingate University and I grabbed a little of his bio from the team web site….Tivon was a very solid football and baseball player at SEG and he performed very well on some of the summer league baseball teams, especially the Colt All-Stars in 2008….
Bio on Tivo as he was known by many in his days here in Guilford County…
#24 Tivon Clark
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Greensboro, N.C.

Tivon Clark was a member of the football, baseball and track teams at Southeast Guilford. The team co-MVP in track, Clark earned All-Conference honors as a sprinter. He was also a state qualifier. He had an uncle play baseball for Albany State (Ga.), while another uncle and aunt were members of the track team for the ASU Golden Rams. Clark is the son of Thomas and Rosemary Clark.

Terrence Topps:Was at Central Carolina Sports Academy and he left there mid-way through this past season for unknown reasons…Also attended GTCC. Not sure what his next move will be, but he still has relatives at SEG…..

Dion Bratcher:Was at Fayetteville State University with the Broncos and not sure where he is now…Checked their site at FSU and he’s not there…

Alex Harrison:Had heard at one time that he was going to Central Carolina Sports Academy, but not sure if that ever happened…..

Tyrell Anderson:Haven’t heard a thing on him…..

  1. Brian Webb is at East Carolina University, he just finished up his first semester exams last Thursday and he is not playing any ball at all…

Bryan was a fine football and baseball player at SEG and he was a devoted follower of Monday Night RAW with the WWE on the USA Network…….(Brian/Bryan was also a very fast young man, just a second or two off the speed of Venable who at 4.3 in the 40 and Bryan was close to 4.45)……

  2. Wow. The kid can fly. I saw him play a few games in high school and he was a very skilled, hard hitting safety. i would have loved to see him on the college level

  3. Unfortunately Brian was plagued with injuries which prevented him from playing on the next level. He is at East Carolina and I’m sure that if he ever decided to play again, it would be with the Pirates.

  4. Dion Bratcher joined the US Army. He and I are now married and have a beautiful four month old baby boy.

  5. What ever happen to the DB Jones who played football and ran track i believe for a year?

  6. Tyrell Anderson spent his freshman year at NC A&T but didn’t play ball I don’t think. I Graduated with most of these guys. I think if Webb ever decided to play sports again it would probably be baseball only because he had so many back injuries. Plus I think he liked playing baseball more than football. I’m not sure if Tyrell is still at A&T because I haven’t seen him on campus this semester. But he could just be staying off campus somewhere…
