Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC– In a Christmas Day news release to WFMY News 2, The Triad’s NewsRadio, 600/1200 WSJS, announced a revamped prime-time line-up for the new decade.

Beginning Thursday, December 31st, the station will be without Rush Limbaugh for the first time since Ronald Reagan was in the White House, and WSJS officials say they’re excited about the changes.

J.R. Snider will assume hosting duties of the station’s popular morning news magazine, “The Triad’s First News”, weekdays from 6:00 to 10:00AM. Snider has been part of the WSJS radio family since first joining the station as traffic reporter in 1981. More recently, he’s hosted “The Triad Live and Local” weekday mid- morning talk show and has established himself as a highly visible and credible community spokesman. In his new position, Snider will take over the fast-paced morning show for the departing Brian Freeman who’s been reassigned to parent company Curtis Media’s flagship radio station, NewsRadio 680 WPTF, in Raleigh.

Following Snider will be WSJS newcomer Dennis Miller, 10:00AM to noon. Most recognized as a sharp-witted, topical comedian, Miller’s breadth of accomplishments range from best-selling author to award-winning roles in movies and television to commentator on ABC’s “Monday Night Football”. He’s a frequent contributor to “The O’Reilly Factor” on FOX News Channel, and has hosted his own daily radio program since 2007.

Faith-based financial advisor Dave Ramsey replaces Rush Limbaugh noon to 3:00PM. Ramsey has written more than a dozen books and has been featured on countless television programs (including Fox Financial News, 60 Minutes, The Today Show, Good Morning America and The Oprah Winfrey Show), but he’s best known for dispensing frank financial opinions via his national radio network of over 400 affiliate stations. Ramsey’s audience runs the demographic gamut from struggling families to besieged business owners with a unique concentration on minimizing the emotional and psychological damage that’s often inflicted by money problems. Ramsey joined WSJS in February, 2009 and moves from his present 10:00AM-to-Noon time period.

Sean Hannity remains in his current, drive-time slot from 3:00 to 6:00PM followed by Skip Staples and “The WSJS Evening News” until 7:00PM……

To get the rest of the story as Paul Harvey used to say, got www.digtriad.com and there is much more to this, the biggest move in Triad radio history, with Rush going to 94.5FM and WSJS forced to revamp their successful lineup and replace their daytime/mid-day anchor Limbaugh and his RUSH Radio……

  1. I am very disappointed and somewhat disgusted that you have eliminated Rush from your schedule. I hope you know what you are doing………… We Rush fans, and there are millions of us,are searching other stations for Conservative talk. Rush is the best and you have made a big mistake in my opinion.
