Ragsdale and Southwest Guilford split tonight

Ragsdale led 24 – 23 at halftime, but Southwest opened second half on 9 – 0 run and outscored the Tigers 17 – 6 in the third. Ragsdale was 1 for 10 from the field in the quarter. The Cowgirls ran their motion offense to perfection in the fourth, taking time off the clock and limiting Ragsdale to 3 points. Shanel Lawrence led the Cowgirls with 13 and Shannon Buchanan had 12. Courtney Marsh was the only Lady Tiger in double figures with 10.

Ragsdale opened up a 25 – 19 lead at the half then extended it to 45 – 28 after three quarters. The Tigers were up 53 – 32 with 5:33 left in the game before the Cowboys went on a tear. They went on a 24 – 4 run and got to within 1 at 57 – 56 with 11.7 seconds left. The Tigers hit four consecutive foul shots to close out the game and preserve the 5 point victory. Tyquan Roberts had 19 and Benaiah Wise had 13 to lead the Tigers. Greg Bridges led the Cowboys with 23 while Jalen Kitching added 10.
