SEMS Girls Win the FCCA Winter Break Basketball Tournament
The Southeast Guilford Middle School girls basketball team defeated the Our Lady of Mercy Mustangs to win the FCCA Winter Break Basketball tournament on Saturday. The Falcons first had to play the Surry County Panthers in the semi -finals and won 27-17.
This was a great experience for the Lady Falcons. The team was able to play five other schools over the holidays which should keep them sharp for the start of conference play this week.
Sydney Smith and Kara Shutt was selected for the All-Tournament Team.

it is good to hear that a greensboro team represented well in a tournament for middle school. i do not have a lot of information about the middle school girl teams but does anyone know who some of the top middle school girls teams are and/or players to watch for in the near future. unless someone moves – it does give you some general idea of how different high school teams will fair in the future when these girls hit high school next year or the year afterwards.
