Report on Eastern Guilford girls win over Burlington Williams last evening

Eastern Guilford beat conference foe Burlington Williams 57-34 in a game that was
only 8-4 after the first quarter that grew to 23-9 at the half. Eastern increased the
margin to 50-21 at the end of the third quarter by tallying 27 points to Williams
12.

North Carolina Central signee Ebony Bryant was held in check for most of the
game as Eastern’s Miranda Jenkins 18 points and Capricia Small 14 points led the
Wildcats. First year junior forward Tierra Smith controled the boards with 9 rebounds
and 6 points.

Eastern rested all of its starters for the entire fourth quarter as the reserves got much needed playing experience. It was Eastern’s eleventh win in a
row.
