  1. Dr. Appenzeller is single handedly responsible for the success of many professionals in the sport management industry. I had the honor and privilege of being one of his students at Appalachian State in the graduate program for sport management. I am honored to say that I was one of his students. His expertise in the sport law and risk management field is second to nobody. Dr. A has left an indellible mark on many people’s lives and for that will garner and deserve every accolade he has and will continue to receive. Thanks Dr. A!
