GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro Stars youth hockey team headed off to Canada today to battle a whole bunch of other young stars in the prestigious Silver Stick International in Ontario.

I spoke with Tim Rich yesterday at Srinkle Oil Company on East Market Street, while I was getting an oil change, as Tim was loading up the Ford Explorer, getting set for the trip to Canada…

The trip will take Tim and the team 12 hours and Tim told me, he had a passenger cargo of six ready to make the Canadian adventure along with him and son TJ Rich.

There travel crew will be Tim, TJ and four others….TJ is a 16 year-old hockey star for the Greensboro Stars and he has been playing the sport since he was five years old…..

TJ has come a long way and let’s hope that he and the Greensboro Stars have a safe and successful trip as they take off for Canada, with return day due up, on Sunday/Monday……..
