EG Wildcats run wild and Morehead girls can’t catch up

Eastern Guilford defeats Morehead 74-37

Eastern Guilford shook off exam week rust and coasted to a conference 74-37 win
over Morehead. Eastern led by a slim margin of 34-20 at the half, but found their
mark to out score Morehead 40 to 17 to win their 13 straight game. Eastern placed
four players in double figures. Eastern was led by Miranda Jenkins 18 points,
Kristin Crosby 14 points, Amerijah Jamison 11 points and first year junior forward
Tierra Smith scored a career high of 10 points off the bench. Eastern Coach Tina
Gunn gave many of her reserves valuable playing time early on in the contest.

  1. I don’t know much about this team, but I read the news paper and this team seems to be getting better and better. I really love the way they carry a very low profile, but seem to get the job done. I saw they play twice this season and a couple of times last year. They have some very skilled players that can do a lot of different things from my observation. A very mentally tough team.

  2. i dont think its that special that EG blew out Morehead.Everybody blows out morehead..rockingham did it,northern guilford girls definaetly did it and so on and so forth.So stop hyping up EG creditability if they havent beaten any “real competition” but from my understanding their playing northern guilford girls again next tuesday.that shall be a very good game
