EASTON’S COLLEGEBASEBALLTODAY.COM OFFERS COLLEGE BASEBALL COACHES INCENTIVE FOR HOSTING MIDNIGHT MADNESS GAME

The industry leader will donate extensive coverage and product on behalf of coach who steps up to host 12:01 a.m. contest.

Will UNCG or N.C. A&T respond?????

VAN NUYS, Calif. (January 19, 2010) – Easton’s CollegeBaseballToday.com is proposing a follow-up to last year’s Midnight Madness college baseball game between host Florida Gulf Coast and Central Michigan on the first minute of the 2010 season.

And to encourage college baseball programs to step up, CollegeBaseballToday.com writer Eric Sorenson is promising considerable motivation to any Division I baseball coach who opts to host the game, which would be held on the first day of the college season – Feb. 19 -at 12:01 a.m.

Sorenson is promising a wealth of incentives to the host team including on-site in-depth coverage of the contest by CollegeBaseballToday.com and a supply of Easton baseball bats, catcher’s gear and equipment bags for the school to donate to a local Little League Baseball program in the area, along with a sizeable product donation from PowerAde. Both Easton and PowerAde are official sponsors of Little League Baseball.

“The ball is in their court,” said Sorenson, who begins his second year at the helm of CollegeBaseballToday.com, after having provided expert insight for such high-profile media outlets as USA Today, CBS, NBC and CSTV. “We’re looking to have some fun and willing to offer some incentives to any coach who is willing to change their schedule to host the game and kick off the college baseball season with some deserved fanfare.”

  1. What a great chance for a couple of schools to have fun and get some free publicity and goodies! A&T and UNCG need to jump at this and play at New Bridge.
