*****Darius White had 21 points, Bryce Benjamin added 13 and Paris Scales 12 for the NEG Rams in this conference clash…..Saegan Hilliard had 27 points for AHS, after sitting out almost the entire third quarter with a knee injury received while taking a charge. Hilliard returned and put in 14 points in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough as the Rams used a very effective full court press to keep their lead. NEG Rams hard to beat at home in the John Primm Gym…..*****

Miranda Jenkins surpasses 1000 point career mark in Eastern Guilford win

Eastern Guilford’s junior guard Miranda Jenkins surpassed the 1000 point mark and
became the ninth player in Eastern Guilford history to accomplish such a feat as
Eastern won 62-29 over Western Alamance for its fourtenth win a row and six straight
conference game to go 14-1. After acheiving the mark, she sat the entire fourth
quarter. It is the second time a player this year for Eastern has reached the point
milestone. Her backcourt mate of three years, Senior Capricia Smalls accomplished it
last week. Coach, Tina Gunn started an entirely different line up by inserting
sophomore Karima Jackson who had a career high of 7 assists and first year junior
forward Tierra Smith who contributed 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Senior Kristin Crosby
unleashed her scoring arsenal by knocking down a career high of 22 points. Seniors
Amerijah Jamison 17 points, 11 rebounds and Capricia Smalls 11 points and 10
rebounds both had double-doubles. Every player on the roster got to play extensive quality playing time to gain valuable playing experience as
the season progresses.

Kristin Crosby: 22 pts, 7 rebs, 2 assts
Amerijah Jamison: 17 pts, 11 rebs, 1 asst, 5 stls, 1 blk

  1. More congrats down the line to Miranda Jenkins. She might have a shot at 1,500 with half of her junior year remaining and the full senior year…..

It is best to shoot for the stars and you never know…

Good job by the Jenkins kid and her EG Wildcat teammates.
