Bulldogs split with Southern
In the opener, Trinity (6-11) held a lead going into the fourth quarter, but
as was the case all night, Southern’s Kamille Horne took control, putting in
13 points and helping her team rally to get a 5-point lead on the way to the
14-point win.
THS girls coach Renee Hayes said the Bulldogs were handcuffed by missing a
pair of players.
“One big difference was I had seven players,” Hayes said. “That hurt a lot.”
But Horne hurt even more. After leading a furious comeback at SWR the
previous night, Horne scored 32 points, including 8 3-pointers, to lead
Southern to the win with 24 of her points coming in the second half.
“And we were keying on her,” Hayes said.

Just a little fun fact. Page is 8-2 the last 10 games, since starting the season 2-5. Not bad for a young bunch of Pirates that are growing up fast!!
