Berry buries 6-threes: NG edges Eastern Alamance

from The Burlington Times-News at Click Here, the Northern Guilford Nighthawks got past Eastern Alamance in a key conference clash last night in Mebane….(And from what I can tell by the boxscore, the Nighthawks grabbed the win without leading- scorer Jonathan Frye in the lineup….)*****Good job Nighthawks.*****

MEBANE — Dylan Berry scored a game-high 33 points to help Northern Guilford take the lead in the fourth quarter and never look back, as the Nighthawks defeated Eastern Alamance 67-64 in a Mid-State 3-A Conference boys’ basketball game on Saturday.

The Eagles (7-6 overall, 4-2 Mid-State 3-A) held a four-point lead at the start of the fourth period, but were outscored 24-17 from that point on.

Keegan Wetzell led all Eastern Alamance scorers with 16 points, with teammates Dylan Guye (15 points) and Kyle Miles (14 points) not far behind.

Berry scored more than half of his points on 3 pointers, sinking six of Northern Guilford’s (15-2, 8-0) eight from beyond the arc.

  1. After I’ve seen Dylan Berry on every other posting for the last two days, I guess you gave into the pressure and had to post his article for the Nighthawk fans.

  2. I just went looking for the story/article and I was able to find it in the Burlington Times-News….

I think some of the postings were going up as I was doing my research on Dudley, NG, HPC/HPA and I didn’t find anything on the Northern girls, but I was looking in the Burlington paper on-line, but no go…

Many times, I am out looking/surfing while people are posting….It is a little ironic, but that is the nature of the games…

  3. The girl’s didn’t play on Saturday. This was a makeup game because Eastern Alamance couldn’t play on the original date because their football team was in the state playoffs. The girl’s have beaten Eastern Alamance twice.
