  1. With Dave Odom in the house!

HSC won the real battle. The battle of the whacky student sections!

Ben and Mick had a great time.

  2. The Tele-tubbie and the Tiger at the water cooler, Batman and Robin eat your heart out!

That HSC cheering may have topped the Quakers cheering section. Any real Quakers in the house last night????? You students need to get on the stick and take down Da House and own your house and call it “Brown Town”…..

“Primetime” Brian Hall was there from News 2 and it’s Brian Hall, the man to call when you want to see it all……

  3. The duel of the whacky student section was a blow out. The HSC kids had The Quaker students on their heels from the moment of their late arrival. They appeared wittier, quicker and were at times even louder. Perhaps they were a bit more “well lubed” as well. The Tigers were well rehearsed yet spontaneous at the same time! They owned the air and all but made it a neutral court and sometimes even took it a step further. Much like a Carolina crowd the Quaker 3/4 of the crowd cheered when things went really well and got loud with good plays and of course the win but were for the most part just taken aback and hushed by the rowdies (some times too rowdy) from Va. Nothing like watching older ladies of GC Quaker persuasion getting pissed and hurling epithets at a bunch of rowdy kids from a visiting college. The GCQ crowd was rattled. PERIOD! I have never seen anything like it. Is HSC all male. I saw no chick tigers last night except a mom or two?

However, I must give credit where credit is due. The GCQ kids gave it all they had but just never really recovered from the HSC rowdy entrance. Like a boxer fighting back after a an early round knockdown! Maybe it was the tele-tubbie. I really liked the preppy theme the Quakers were rockin! I havent really seen kelly green shorts and a pink button down in about 25 years! Whats next add a bead necklaces? Popped Collars! I saw a jean jacket last night! Yikes!

Who is that dude on the end of the bench for the Quakers. I would have thought Keith Hernandez of Seinfeld and MLB fame would have used up all his eligibility?

Good job and I hope much $$$ was raised for Jimmy V Foundation. We had fun and will definitely go back. lets see how the whacky students rebound.

    Had a blast!

  4. 1,800 fans there last night and that is certainly a good local turnout….

Great crowd and a very fun atmosphere as you stated Mick.
