Guilford men upset by Eastern Mennonite as #1 Quakers fall hard at home

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Todd Phillips scored a game-high 27 points and George
Johnson added 21 as 16th-ranked Eastern Mennonite University knocked off
number-one Guilford College, 90-63, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference

since Feb. 5, 2001, ended the Quakers’ 15-game winning streak in 2009-10 and

its last two road contests and slipped to third-place in the ODAC standings.

44-34 halftime lead. The pair combined for six three-pointers in the half,
while Guilford shot 0-4 from long range.

lead that grew to as many as 30 points with eight minutes remaining. In the
second half, Eastern Mennonite connected on 15-of-26 (57/7%) shots and held
the home-standing Quakers to 30.3% shooting. Guilford shot a season-low

  1. Did the ACC cancel their season? You guys didn’t list the schedule. Did UNC and Duke cancel their game?

  2. That’s right, Duke and UNC need more covreage. You can never find anything about them in the newspaper or ESPN. Also, when those 2 teams meet nobody is aware or is talking about the game.

    Remove tongue implanting from cheek.
