HS basketball games that were set to be played today

*****Some of the schools were allowed to play today, but it was at the discretion of the HS principals according to our sources inside the Guilford County Schools…..*****(If you hear of anything, let us know….
?????Why cancel the games so quickly????? Why not wait to at least sunup on the day of to make the final decision? There is now talk of canceling the Conference Tournaments in some cases, due to all the makeup games that still have to be played so that they can sort out the final regular season standings……..

  1. I am all about the safety of our student athletes and the fans who will show up and support them,but someone is making these cancellation calls to soon. We need to use a little common sense. Why would you cancel all activities on Saturday before the sun even comes up and melts the dusting of snow that we received on Friday. By noon, most of the snow was gone and I was thinking that most of the conference tournament would be canceled because of the early call and team not allowed to finish the regular season. Please be safe as you venture out to support your teams.

  2. Word is conference tournament for Piedmont Triad 4A has been scraped. The call was made far too early. I does favor the top few teams for state seeding purposes but knocks out the lower teams who may have pulled an upset during tournament. Not sure where I sit on the decision because it does favor the team I root for, but would have helped the host schools with some much needed funds. A no win either way, but this is North Carolina and a dusting is not a dusting here..”the sky is falling” Gotta run to the store for some more bread and milk..snow could be coming Sunday night 🙂

  3. Bummer, that’s not entirely true yet. It could be soon though. What I’ve heard is they are trying to set up a mini tournament with the top 4 seeds and play on thursday and friday next week. I’ll let you know as soon as I know something more permanent. All the bread is already gone. lol

  4. The Piedmont triad 4A will be having a tournament but only with the top 4 teams, including NW Guilford who has come on strong this past week. Ranked 3rd i think despite all the drama. First game is thursday
