Guards, Larry Drew II and Ish Smith, were the stars for their respective teams of North Carolina and Wake Forest, on Saturday afternoon/evening and the Tar Heels and Demon Deacons captured key ACC wins at home and both UNC and Wake grabbed double-digit victories…..

Bruce Mitchell has to be feeling at home again too, since the Duke Blue Devils are still on the air on 850AM out of Raleigh and now the station, KIX Radio/Channel 85 is playing all of the Mitchell’s favorites from the 50’s and 60’s again…..KIX is back and the music that everyone in the Triangle grew up with is back too…..(This should also excite Paul Lambeth and all the crew over at Smitty’s Ice Cream since they too enjoyed the flavors of, the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s……..)

Wake Forest 75, Georgia Tech 64

When I was at Hope Valley Elementary my favorites on KIX were Steve Rhodey, Dale Van Horn, and Jock Lobottamata on Sunday overnights.
