  1. Boys

    Ragsdale 76
    Grimsley 71

    Reagan 65
    Southwest Guilford 51

    High Point Central 69
    Western Guilford 63

  2. High Point Central really suprised Western on this one. Not putting High Point Central down (because they are a good team), I just expected Western to win this one.

  3. The Metro teams are dropping like flies.. not sure if Page beat Watauga yet though. Dudley over E. Forsyth 75-48.

  4. Way to go Piedmont conference!!! Most of the Metro will be sitting home licking their wounds Wednesday 🙂

  5. Thats right, read it and weep, the diaper dandies & Company win it again. Big play from the whole starting line up. Vebber hit two big free throws at the end to put it away. Great job boys. Keep it up.

  6. oh man I hate I missed the Ragsdale game tonight. By the time I got my son home from Lacrosse practice it was late so I decided not to go for the second half. Way to go Ragsdale and the Piedmont Triad conference. Been a lot of talk about how weak the conference was and supposedly the Metro was second only to the Charlotte conferences.

The bigger their heads are the harder they fall…

  7. Instead of putting down one of our area conferences.. why can’t we just say that the competition is great in this area?

  8. Sorry Joe. I’ve spent a whole season on here reading Metro fans talk crap about the Piedmont Triad Conference.

  9. Joe – where have you been. Haven’t seen you on here since football season. You obviously haven’t been reading all the Metro trash talking about how they were going to wipe out the Piedmont Triad which they said was clearly the worse conference in the state. It’s okay to play nice now…but you missed way too many Metro trash talkers.

  10. Dudley disappointed many fans tonight with their lack of effort and some times bad offense…. tonight was and ugliest game by far this year from the panthers..they never seemed to be in the game… even during warm ups…the look like they were going through the motions…. the only good thing about this is that with as ugly of a game they did play…. they still won by 27 points…. it was a ugly win but im sure the panther nation will take it.. hopefully we will see a better looking game wednesday night…. as we are the last ones left to represent the METRO… congrats to everyone who were victorious tonight….and congrts to all teams who were not as successful in bringing home a win tonight … you all had great seasons….

  11. To all piedmont triad fans, yes you are right, us metro fans are eating our crow right now, congrats to you guys you proved me wrong, and go represent gboro well now. i was always told if you can dish it out you better be able to take it, and that is what im doing. once again congrats to ragsdale nw and hpc. about the grimsley ragsdale game, ragsdale played amazing shooting near 65% for the game, and tyquan roberts was a beast, and they just wanted it tonight. Also caongrats to carter gourley for a fine carrer, as the lone whirlie senior.

Ragsdale plays butler at home on wednesday

  12. Butler should be a fun game for Ragsdale…They will come into Jamestown with something like a (14-15) record and they had to win three straight games to win their conference tournament last week and they did just that to get in and they won again tonight to make their way to Jamestown…..

  13. Yeah, I have missed alot.. sorry about that then. Been very busy down here in Charlotte with school and stuff.

  14. Witness, I don’t understand what you talking about when you said Dudley played flat against E. Forsyth. My GOD !!! they came out the cage with alot of intensity, slamming the ball left and right by P.J. (2 dunks) Reggie (1 dunk ) and Clyborn, with the left handed dunk as well. Brennan Wyatt and N.Y. handle (East) pressure with ease with good ball handling. Jaqual Richmond hustle as well. Witness, they jump out to a 12-2 and a 24-8 lead. East played their hearts out, but it wasn’t any question that Dudley was in control of this contest. What needs to happen is that Wine- Cheese crowd at DUDLEY, needs to show some emotion as well and start cheering and fill up that GYM.

  15. Psaunders, Yeah your right about the Wine- Cheese crowd at DUDLEY! I’m part of the Panther Nation, and I don’t get it. The only time they cheer is when someone is making a highlight reel, or the game is closer than they think it should be. I guess they expect to win all the time. The PA announcer do say that winning is a tradition here. But the crowed can make the game even more amazing than it is, even if they just clap once in a while. You only here OOO’s & Ahhh”s when someone dunks or get there ankle broke! Watch out, They could have a season somewhere down the line like this year UNC Tarheels!! Then What?

  16. I am a part of Panther Nation as well…Don’t you think it’s hard to get into a blow out game for any team?

sometimes it seems there is just too much going on.

I notice that sometimes when the cheerleaders are cheering the music/band is playing over top of the cheerleaders…quite rude

if the band is there the band should play no other music….and should not play overtop of cheerleaders. If the band is not there other music ok, but cheerleaders (all) should take precedence over other entertainment.

  17. City, I understand about it being a blowout and the crowd having alot of things going on around them. But I desire to see that old atmosphere of 2005-06 and older, when Dudley crowds came in full force and made other teams tense up coming into that gym. Back then it was Parkland, Glenn, Carver, S.W., N.E., and others teams, but all of East Greensboro was there pulling for DUDLEY. But in my opinion since that time I have seen a downturn in the crowds. For example, when they played G.W. DANVILLE (Va) in Jan at Dudley, G.W. filled up it seemed 65 to 70% of Dudley’s own gym. For a visiting school coming 45miles away taking over another teams gym is sad to me. When Dudley went to G.W. (Dec) I got there a hour an a half before the boys played, Danville fans had already filled up most of there gym and was very loud and it had a effect in the outcome in the 4th quarter with G.W. coming back from 17 down and winning. All I’m saying is this, Dudley girls and boys could have 3 games in there own gym and 2 more games (regionals) at the Greensboro Coliseum. Give those teams our love and backing and don’t take anything for granted. I’m not talking about u Mouthpiece or City, but in general the panthernation of students, adults and Dudley supporters like me. Mouthpiece, you made a great point. People think Dudley is going to win all the time and they dump on Coach Price when he does loses, but one day things will change and another school will rise up and be the talk of Greensboro, so cherrish now and give them our full support. Because kids/ teens feed off that support.

  18. I fully agree. It is not the same atmosphere and Danville was 90% of the crowd in a sold out Dudley Gym.

The girls state photo or banner has yet to be put up. I heard something that downtown has to do. Not only that; if it wasn’t for NG being in the state last year -cheering for the Lady Panthers..the girls would have had little support from the so-called “Panther Nation.”
THE FIRST GREENSBORO GIRLS TEAM TO WIN STATES! Some seniors are already gone and the two others will graduate without even seeing the banner or state championship pictur hung.

    Title IX…..yeah right
