Alex Swim making locals proud and glad while at Elon University

We received this nice message last night in regards to a great kid, Alex Swim, who we all remember as a catcher for the Northwest Guilford Vikings and coach Sonny Gann and Alex also spent time behind the plate for the Proehlific Power and coach Justin Smith.

In a good way the local high schools are glad Alex has moved on and the Elon University coaches are very excited to have him on their side, as they do battle in the tough Southern Conference….(Swim currently batting .582 for the Elon Phoenix.)

This word on Alex Swim from an old friend and foe:

HIGH POINT CENTRAL SHOUT OUT TO A CONFERENCE FOE, ALEX SWIM FROM NORTHWEST GUILFORD. ALEX IS AN ELON PHOENIX AND AS A TRUE FRESHMAN HE IS HITTING (.582) 7 FOR 12 AND 4 RBI”S.

BOY, ARE WE GLAD YOUR GONE.

A.E.

  1. Alex is a great young man and player. Those of us who watch Northwest Baseball remember Alex’ junior season when he only had two strike-outs in about 80 at-bats. He had a really high batting and slugging percentage as well. We’re proud of you Alex!!!
