Two Quakers win ODAC honors

GUILFORD’S SEUFER AND WILLIAMS RECEIVE ALL-ODAC HONORS

Salem, Va. –* Two Guilford College seniors received All-Old Dominion
Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball honors Wednesday night. *Ann Seufer
(Williamstown, W. Va./Wililamstown)* earned Second Team All-ODAC, and *Alexa
Williams (Round Hill, Va./Loudoun Valley)* was an honorable mention All-ODAC
pick. The all-conference teams and special award winners were selected by
the league’s head coaches and recognized at the ODAC’s annual banquet at the
Salem Civic Center.

Randolph-Macon College senior Molly Ariail was named the league’s Player of
the Year for the third straight season. Virginia Wesleyan College senior
Maggie Davis won the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award,
marking the first league scholar-athlete win for the Marlins. Roanoke
College’s Susan Dunagan received the ODAC Coach of the Year award for the
eighth time, and Jasmine Green of Hollins University collected the league’s
Freshman of the Year prize.

*Seufer*, a 5-8 guard, has started all 25 games and stands second on the
team in scoring (10.1 ppg.) and assists (2.36 apg.) and third in steals
(1.72 spg.). She ranks sixth among the league’s three-point field goals
leaders through games of Feb. 21 with 1.88 three-pointers per game. *Seufer
*paced Guilford’s offense six times and has scored in double figures 14
times. She won the ODAC’s Player of the Week prize Feb. 15 and hit for a
season-high 26 points in the Quakers’ 92-75 win at Hollins University Feb.
2. *Seufer* is Guilford’s all-time career leader in three-pointers made and
attempted. She scored her 1,000th career point Feb. 14 and ranks 15th among
Guilford’s scoring leaders with 1,019 points.

*Williams*, a 5-9 forward, has played in all 25 games this season, starting
24. She leads the team in rebounds (7.5 rpg.), which also ranks eighth in
the ODAC. Her 2.28 steals per game stands second on the team and fourth in
the league. *Williams* is also third on the team in points (9.6 ppg.). She has scored in double figures 11 times with three double-doubles. *Williams *also led the team in rebounds 13 times.

Coach *Stephanie Flamini’s* Quakers posted a 14-11 regular-season record
(11-9 ODAC) and open ODAC Tournament play tonight versus Washington and Lee
University in Salem, Va. at 8:00 p.m.
