Dudley versus Ardrey Kell at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center next Wednesday night…Ardrey Kell knocked off Winston-Salem Reagan tonight, 54-43, at Reagan and Kell topped Northwest Guilford this past Wednesday in Charlotte. Reagan entered the Kell game with a (20-3) record and Kell came in at (20-8)….
West Charlotte and the Lake Norman boys will also be coming to Greensboro next week…Lake Norman defeated Myers Park 60-58 and West Charlotte topped Watauga with JT Terrell(Formerly of Burlington Cummings) hitting for 39 points…We’ll try and get that 4th 4-A team for you that will be in Greensboro along with West Charlotte, Lake Norman and Dudley….
West Charlotte also has the Estes kid that came over there from couple of weeks ago from Victory Christian in Charlotte….Estes name has been mentioned quite a bit in the Charlotte Observer and JT Terrell has committed to Wake Forest and he is always in the news in and around Charlotte after being in Burlington at Cummings last year.
Dudley beat Terrell and Cummings at Dudley on a Saturday night last year and that is when PJ Hairston suffered a concussion, left the game, but he still returned to help lead his team to victory in the second half….
How does Dudley end up in the West and Northern and NE in the East? Do you know how they do the east west divison?

It is pretty much based on the way they have the conferences set up. The 3-A’s with NG and NEG have always gone EAST, even when Dudley was 3-A and that takes us back to 1998 and Dudley went to Greenville, N.C. every year until they switched back to the Metro 4-A Conference…
The geographical layout has sent our 3-A teams Highway 29 North running up through Lee Street East and the Metro 4-A has always sent their teams to the West that used to be up in Hickory at Lenior Rhyne College…..And then it moved to Winston-Salem and the EAST has been at ECU for ages….
Dudley will face West Charlotte on Wed. at 8:30 per NCHSAA.

Can you explain why NEG boys are in the 3-A East and the NEG girls were in the 3-A West? That one puzzles me.
We were told last night that it would be Ardrey Kell-Dudley, but if it West Charlotte then it will be time to get to work…..
That is one of the few times that I have seen Northeast in a West bracket and it has almost always been NEG with football and boys basketball in the East…..
It may have been part of the need to fill out a bracket in the girls West region, cause the NEG boys are in the East again…..
We will have to do some more research on this one, and get back to you….
