Guilford County Girls Sectional All-Tournament Team 2010

In order to qualify for first team honors your team should have advanced to the Sectional Finals Championship Game and your performance would have to have had a lot to do with it.

First Team

1.Breonna Patterson (SR): Dudley:40 pts, 9 assts, 9 rebs, The UNCG signee did not dissapoint. Leaves with a State Title and three straight conference titles. All conference three years in a row and defensive player of the year. Second team All Area last year and first team should not be a problem this year.

2.Miranda Jenkins( JR): Eastern Guilford: 49 pts, 19 assts, 21 rebs, 11 stls, 9 blks: The junior guard has played a major role in Eastern’s success. Three straight conference titles and three straight Sectional Championship games. Two straight All Conference teams and may land a third one this year.

3.Desiree Drayton (JR): Dudley:36 pts, 28 rebs, 8 stls: The junior UNC-Charlotte commit showed great resilency. Has made All Conference once and should land it again this year. Three straight conference titles and a State Championship on her already impressive resume.

4.Capricia Small (SR): Eastern Guilford: 45 pts, 17 rbs., 20 assts, 5 stls, 5 blks: A great way to rebound after major knee surgery two years ago. Leaves with 77 wins and only 33 losses and three straight conference titles by going 31-2.

5.Amerijah Jamison (SR): Eastern Guilford: 24 pts, 31 rebs, 9 stls, 1 blk : The only player at 5’7 that can rebound consistently with the best. In fact she has been the best by topping 1000 career rebounds and three straight Sectional finals appearances; Should land her on a Second All Conference Team this year. Help Eastern to have the only undefeated conference team record 13-0 this year in Guilford County.

5.Amanda Hairston(SR): Dudley: 27 pts, 18 rebs: Senior missed all of last season and played valuable minutes during the playoffs to help Dudley reach the Sectional Finals

Second Team

1.Kierra McIvor (jr): Dudley: Exceeded season average in playoffs and dished out 4 assists per game
2.Kristin Crosby (sr): Eastern Guilford: Had 15 pts, 9 rebs in round two to help team reach Championship game
3.Samantha Cofer (jr): Northern Guilford: Had double-double in first round win
4.Zena Lovette (soph): Southwest Guilford: Has 24 pts in first round win
5.Karima Jackson (soph): Eastern Guilford: Scored career high in first round win 13 pts and 9 pts and 6 rebounds in second round win.

Third Team

1.Cheyenne Parker (sr): Southwest Guilford: The Big center had a double-double in round one by going for 14 pts and 18 rebounds.
2.Shanel Lawrence(jr): Southwest Guilford:netted 17 in game one.
3.Cedrica Gibson(soph): High Point Central: Returned to form by leading team to round two.
4.Megan Tate (sr): High Point Central: scored 13 points in round one.
5.Harmony White (jr): North West Guilford: Did an outstanding job by scoring 16 points in round one against Page

Honorable Mention:

1.Brittany Drew (jr): Page: nearly brought Pirates back in first round against Northwest with 19 pts
2.Katrina Gibson(sr): Smith: Scored 18 pts in first round
3.Kelly Tessitore(sr): Northern Guilford: Had 16 points in easy win against Wayne in the first round
4.Brittany Conner(jr): Southwest Guilford:Scored 10 against Matthew Butler
5.Gretchen Bennett(sr): Northwest Guilford: Netted 12 in first round against Page to finally reached the second round of State Playoffs in her career.
6.Ayshia Mcneil(jr): Southeast Guilford: Scored 14 in first round
7.Kenya Hailey(fr): South East Guilford: Freshmen added scoring punch in absence of injured Brittany Price by finishing with a career high of 13 pts.
9.Ashley Fowler(sr): Page: Help to keep Page in contention against Northwest by hitting a neat 16 points in the absence of leading scorer Chevena Pickard whom finished with 3 points.
10. Chell Jackson(jr): Dudley: Played solid defense and scored nearly six points per outing during the playoffs.
