Averett improves to (11-2) with 15-6 win over Greensboro College on Sunday

Greensboro, NC — The Greensboro College baseball team lost to Averett, 15-6, on Sunday. Murray Smith went 3-5, with 2 doubles and a home run for The Pride (3-6, 0-2 USA South).

Michael Parker (Snow Camp, NC/Southern Alamance) went 2-3 at the plate for GC. Starter Trey Daniel (Burlington, NC/Western Alamance High) took the defeat for GC. He gave up 9 runs but just 3 were earned. The Pride committed 7 errors in the game.

GC held a 6-4 heading to the top of the sixth inning. The Cougars tallied four runs in the sixth (all unearned) and scored in every inning thereafter.

Averett is 11-2 and 2-0 in the USAS.
