Linebacker Jimmy Moorman from High Point Central HS will join Eastern Guilford’s Josh Morehead at the East-West All-Star football game coming up in July in Greensboro…..

from www.hpe.com:

HIGH POINT – Linebacker Jimmy Moorman received an invitation Monday to take part in the 62nd annual East-West Football All-Star Game, set for Wednesday, July 21, at Greensboro Grimsley’s Jamison Stadium.

Moorman earned defensive player of the year honors as a junior in the Metro 4A and a senior in the Piedmont Triad 4A conferences as a physical but undersized linebacker. He currently plans to play for Louisburg College this fall, but other offers may come in after college coaches see him in action during East-West week.

“His face lit up today when I told him he was getting an opportunity to play in the game,” High Point Central coach Wayne Jones said. “It’s something he deserves and speaks volumes of all the work he’s put in.”

  1. Chris Armwood DB and Daniel McNeil DE from Ragsdale will also be playing in that game. McNeill will attend A&T and Armwood is undecided but plans to attend an engineering school.

Congratulations to those two young men as well as Jimmy Moorman.
