Northern Guilford defeated Southeast Guilford 5 to 3 in a hard fought battle.
NG’s defense and hot bats won out in the end. NG and Southeast were tied going into the top of the 7th and Kalie Hicks, a freshman, hit a line drive in the top of the 7th to right center with two runners on. Both runners scored to make it 5 to 3.
Northern shortstop Natalie Clemmons was flawless on defense and was instrumental in the win. Northern faces Southern Guilford in a non conference matchup tomorrow at Northern Guilford.
