Pittman the get-man/hit-man for Quakers

Local product Josh Pittman, from Trinity HS and now with the Guilford College Quakers basketball team, that is headed to the NCAA DIII National Championships in Salem, Virgina, was featured in the Wednesday News and Record.

Pittman is like the get-man and the hit-man for the Quakers….He likes to the get the ball and he can handle the ball from the point. He also likes to shoot those long three-pointers and he can hit them all night long, if he has his groove on and if his stroke is working and to Guilford’s benefit, he is on, more times than not.

I have watched this kid play. I saw him the night he hit for 50 points in a high school game with his Trinity Bulldogs battling the Demons of Winston-Salem Reynolds. I have watched him at Guilford and he has a flow about him when he handles that basketball where he just about glides along the floor.

As I have noted before, I know guards, and this kid is a good one. He has adjusted his game since his days at Trinity with head coach Tim Kelly and now he can run with the college boys and he will have to do just that this weekend at the Final Four in Salem….

Pittman is the get-man/hit-man….Get him the ball and he will make things happen and 4.5 times out of 10, he will nail that NBA-range three-pointer.
