Time Warner Cable will sponsor the longest drive and closest to the pin contests at the 2010 Jim Locke Golf Tournament. The winner of the longest drive will receive a 26-inch flat screen television. An Ipod Touch goes to the closest to the pin contest victor.

“We’re very excited about Time Warner’s commitment to the Jim Locke Golf Tournament, and their dedication to Pride athletics,” said Dan Cetrone, the tournament’s organizer. “Time Warner Cable has been a Pride Platinum Partner and we delighted with their support. We believe these prizes will be seen as value-added additions that make this year’s tournament even more attractive to players.”

This year’s Locke tournament will be the 20th annual event and will be held at Starmount Forest Country Club on Thursday, May 6. Former NFL star wide receiver and Greensboro resident Ricky Proehl will serve as the event’s honorary chairperson. The Jim Locke Tournament is sponsored by the Circle of Pride, GC’s athletic booster club.

Time Warner Cable is the home of free HD television. Time Warner also offers Roadrunner high speed Internet and digital phone service to residents of the Piedmont Triad.
