Florida Marlins look toward Opening Day

With the Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season just a few days away and the Florida Marlins due in Greensboro to take on the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Saturday afternoon at 3pm at NewBridge Bank Park, here’s a look at the Marlins’ projected opening day roster and many of the names that you should see when they arrive in Greensboro to take on the Hoppers….

Lead-off man Chris Coghlan was the NL Rookie of the Year last season and he was with the Hoppers back in 2007 and Gaby Sanchez has been named the starting first baseman for the Marlins and he was here back around 2006….

Pitcher Chris Volstad has been projected to be the #4 starter for the Marlins and he was in Greensboro just a couple of years ago and he may move up a spot or two in the rotation early in the year, as the named Openinng Day starter Josh Johnson(15-5 in 2009) has come down with the flu and he is down and out….
