Ritter and Stone moving on to good colleges after Ragsdale HS

Billy Stone(Ragsdale HS) is going to play football at Campbell and Tyler Ritter(Ragsdale HS) is going to play at Hampden Sydney in Virginia. Both boys are very excited and are looking forward to
continuing their education while also have a chance to play football. Here are a couple of bios on both young men:

Billy Stone was a 3 year starter at linebacker on 3 conference championship teams.
He was a 3 time all-conference performer as well as the conference defensive player
of the year as a junior. Billy was named the team’s most outstanding defensive
player. In addition to football, Billy is a standout baseball player for the Tigers.

Tyler Ritter was a 2 year starter for Ragsdale on the offensive line and 2
conference championships. Tyler was all conference as a senior and was named the
team’s most valuable offensive lineman. Tyler also lettered 3 years in wrestling
but shoulder surgery over Christmas break prevented him from wrestling this year.

*****The best successs goes out to both these fine young men.*****

  1. Congratulations to Tyler and Billy as well as all the other Tigers who will continue their education this fall.

  2. Great job guys. Nice opportunities for both young men. HS will be a great school for Tyler to play and then send him on to law school. Stone will get to play football at a high level while getting a good education and being close to home. Maybe Stone will run up against former Ragsdale QB Matt Heavner down at Davidson. Congratulations to both young men from our family. A thank you to both young men for being a part of my son’s life for so many years. I’m proud he grew up with both of you over the years.

A huge debt of gratitude goes out to Tommy Norwood, Johnny Boykin, Derek Anderson and the whole Ragsdale staff. Many of the young men moving on to play in college would not have these opportunities without the coaching and hard work of the Ragsdale staff. It amazes me how hard these guys work.
