Grasshopper pitcher strikes out crime and stops inside the parking lot run home

GREENSBORO — Grasshoppers pitcher Curt Petersen stopped an attempted robbery Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the Walmart on Battleground Avenue.

Petersen, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound right-hander from Aubrey, Texas, said he was leaving the store when he saw a man attack a woman and steal her purse.

  1. Way to go Curt Petersen, The lady he helped rescue from the attacker is a wonderful volunteer in the Northwest community. I understand she was injured by the scumbag attacker. The judge who gets this case needs to nail the guy.
