Randleman visited Ragsdale tonight for a non-conference game between former members of last year’s Mid-Piedmont Conference. The two old foes played the game in less than two hours and Ragsdale recorded the 4 – 2 win.

Randleman got on the board first with an unearned run in the top of the third. Tyler Walls opened the inning with a single, advanced to third on an error and a sac
bunt and scored the game’s first run on a Zach Bach ground ball.

Ragsdale answered in the bottom of the third. Mike Leitner got on base on an error and DeSean Anderson was hit with a pitch to put runners on first and second. Ben Fultz drove them both home with a line drive double to left centerfield. After two were out, Ragsdale loaded the bases on back to back walks. Mike Whited drove in two more runs with a solid single into left field to make the score 4 – 1 and wrap up the Tigers scoring for the night.

Walt Sparks was on the mound for Ragsdale and completed 5 2/3 innings before having to leave with an injury. Sparks got the win and only gave up 3 hits and one unearned run while striking out 6. Sparks did give up 5 walks and hit a batter but was able to pitch out of trouble.

DeSean Anderson came in and went the final 1 1/3 giving up 2 hits and one run in the seventh inning. Randleman’s second run came on a single by Ryan Vickers and an RBI double by Dexter Allen. Anderson recorded his 4th save of the season.
