Dull sharpens his game and earns Big South Co-Pitcher of the Week honors

Ryan Dull(East Forsyth HS) was named Big South Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday

CHARLOTTE – UNC Asheville’s Ryan Dull (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and VMI reliever Michael Devine (Cheswick, Pa.) have been named The Crons Brand Co-Pitchers of the Week, respectively, for games played April 5-11, it was announced Monday by the League office.

Dull tossed a complete game, six-hitter in a 2-1 win at Presbyterian College on
Friday. He allowed a lead-off triple and a groundout in the first inning, then
tossed zeroes the rest of the way. He did not walk a batter and held the Blue Hose
to a .188 batting average in collecting his second complete game of the season. Dull
raised his record to 4-1 on the season and helped the Bulldogs complete their first
conference road sweep in four seasons.

(Dull is a super kid and he comes from a very solid East Forsyth Eagles baseball program.)

  1. Andy…I appreciate you keeping tabs on my little brother. The whole UNCA program has started its turn around process. They have already won more games this year (11) than last year (9) and won as many conference games as they did all of last year. Ryan has already won more games this year than he did all of last year as well. Again, thanks for keeping up on him.

  2. I never saw Ryan pitch in a game but saw him take lessons at GBC and you could tell he was a stud and had a bright future. Glad to hear he is doing well.
