Caldwell Academy senior forward Will Saunders signed a letter of intent today, in the Caldwell gym to play basketball at Division I South Carolina Upstate.
Saunders averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds per game while earning TAC (Triad Athletic Conference) All-Conference honors and NCISAA All-State honors during his senior year.
Will Saunders will join former Guilford County high school basketball stars Josh Chavis(Dudley HS) and Mezie Uzuchukwu(Northeast Guilford) at South Carolina Upstate, along with former Guilford County HS baseball players Austin Moyer and Jeff Medley( both from Southeast Guilford HS) at USC-Upstate…..
Greensboro Day School’s Brandon Dorsett committed to Pfeiffer University today and he will play for the Pfeiffer Falcons in the future. Brandon was a guard in Coach Freddy Johnson’s GDS Bengal system and he was one of the most improved players on the team this past season and did a great job of getting to the basket on the dribble…

congrats to two very good players and even better people. it has been a pleasure having brandon play for lynchburg hoops and seeing him mature into a position of leadership over the last two years. his game will improve with the falcons and the sky will be the limit. freddie johnson and his staff have done a great job and renee and andre dorsett have bee great role models. will will have great success in his 4 years and we hope to have his prescence with his this spring. coach mason
