U.S. FIGURE SKATING ANNOUNCES SITE OF 2011 U.S. JUNIOR FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS(The remaining three levels – novice, junior and senior – will compete Jan. 22-30, 2011, at the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, N.C.)

Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 20, 2010) – U.S. Figure Skating has
announced the selection of Salt Lake City, Utah, as the site of the 2011
U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships. The event, which will be
hosted by Salt Lake Figure Skating, is set to take place Dec. 14-18,
2010, at the Salt Lake City Sports Center.

“The Salt Lake City Sports Complex and Salt Lake Figure Skating are
excited to host the 2011 U.S. Junior Championships,” said Tiffany King,
chair of the event’s local organizing committee. “We have a fantastic
group of volunteers and staff who are eager to welcome the top skaters
in the juvenile and intermediate levels. With our incredible facility,
beautiful mountains and wonderful snow, it will be a spectacular event
for all to enjoy!”

The U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships crown the U.S. champion in
ladies, men’s, pairs and ice dancing in the first two levels of the U.S.
Figure Skating competitive structure: juvenile and intermediate. The
remaining three levels – novice, junior and senior – will compete Jan.
22-30, 2011, at the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in
Greensboro, N.C.
