Hoppers fall on Tuesday at NewBridge Bank Park

Series split at two games each(2-2) and the Rome, Georgia Braves are due in town on Wednesday for another four-game set….

Today in the 10:45am school kids game, which featured nearly 4.000 second-graders in attendance, the Hoppers grabbed an early lead of 1-0, then saw Lakewood tie it up at 1-1, before the Hoppers jumped back in front 2-1, but then the Blueclaws tied it back up at 2-all, then Lakewood went on to steal the 3-2 victory over the Hoppers……

Curt Peterson threw well from his starting pitcher’s role, but the bullpen let the Hoppers down again the Hoppers had the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth with no outs and the Hoppers left the bases loaded, to end the innning and all three Hoppers were left stranded or LOB…..

Tough loss today to fall to (7-13) on the season, but Terrence Dayleg kept his hitting touch going, collecting two doubles on the day and Chase Austin also came up with a strong bat for the second straight game……

Hoppers drop the Tuesday game, 3-2, and if Navitidad Dillone makes a clean throw to first base for the Hoppers, we might be looking at another win from today’s contest, but when the pitcher’s throw went sailing, there was no more bailing for the Hoppers and the day was just about over…….

Braves-Hoppers coming up on Wednesday night at 7pm at NewBridge Bank Park…..
