Greensboro College on the green in 4th after Round One of NCAA DIII golf

Hershey, Pa. — The Greensboro College golf team began play Tuesday at the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships. GC shot a first round 301 and is in fourth place, six strokes behind leader Skidmore. Ben Nihart (Winston-Salem, NC/(home school)) led The Pride with a +1 73.

Nihart is in fifth place, four strokes behind Tain Lee of Claremont Mudd Scripps. Other GC scoring: Josh Nichols (Waxhaw, NC/West Fosyth), 74; Connor Kennedy (Siler City, NC/Jordan Matthews High School), 75; Brock Elder (Greensboro, NC/Vandalia Christian) and Clint Dillon (Madison, NC/Dalton L. McMichael), 79.

GC played the links course today. The event was delayed 80 minutes due to frost.
